Spring has sprung - and summer is just around the corner at Fusilier Cottage!
Hobart is doing it again: stunning blue-sky days interspersed with moody grey days; perfect calm followed by blustery spring showers - and the occasional late dusting of snow on our mountain. It’s almost summertime again.
The garden in Battery Point is looking a picture - and the place was abuzz earlier this month at the Open House event. A note of appreciation from the Australian Institute of Architects: “Fusilier Cottage had 498 on Saturday and 401 on Sunday so a total of 899 Open House Hobart visitors got to enjoy a very special building!” We do like to share the love.
This month we say goodbye and a huge thank you to Antony Cox, our caretaker who has been a friend of Fusilier Cottage for many, many years. Thank you, ANT! What a legend.
And, while we’re at it, huge thanks to Sue who puts so much love and sweat into our garden, and to Karen and Penny who keep the place clean and running smoothly. (Not to forget, Tim, either. I owe you a beer!)
Thanks for the photos, Sue!
